Bearing Life Calculator (ISO 281 L10)
Pick an ENRO model to load its dynamic rating Cr, or type C yourself. 415 models have a catalog Cr value.
Enter C and P, then press Calculate. L10 and L10h appear here.
- Model or part number for each line
- Quantity per line
- Seal or shield, snap ring or bore type
- Clearance group, if not CN
- Destination port or country
Formula
L10 = (C / P)p million revolutions, with p = 3 for ball bearings and p = 10/3 for roller bearings.
L10h = 106 / (60 n) × L10 hours.
This is the basic rating life per ISO 281. It does not include the a1 reliability factor or the aISO factor for lubrication and contamination. Cr values are catalog reference values.

Bearing Life Calculator FAQ
What is L10 bearing life?
L10 is the life that 90% of a large group of identical bearings reach or exceed under the same conditions, in millions of revolutions. L10h is the same life in operating hours at constant speed.
Why is the exponent different for ball and roller bearings?
ISO 281 uses p = 3 for ball bearings (point contact) and p = 10/3 for roller bearings (line contact).
Does this include lubrication and contamination factors?
No. It gives the basic rating life without the a1 reliability factor or the aISO life modification factor.
